Our diversity is our strength, yet still, many causes unite us. In an ever-changing world, supporting those in need – at work, at home, and in our communities – is more important than ever. Since the very start, ACT has built relationships with causes that matter to our people around the Group, who have rallied with us in their support.
With 2024, ACT embarked on a partnership with global humanitarian charity, Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). With truly international reach across more than 70 countries around the world, and neutrality at their core, MSF go where others cannot, or will not, go.
In our first year of partnership, we surpassed our £100,000 target to raise £140,000 – the equivalent of three pop-up MSF hospitals, providing vital care in the field. The impact goes far beyond the sum raised, making invaluable impact in communities when it matters most and we are delighted to continue our partnership with MSF into 2025.
MSF UK are incredibly excited to embark on this partnership with Ardonagh and ACT. We share a deep understanding of the medical humanitarian challenges faced by so many forgotten people. We are thrilled that this will be a global partnership with Ardonagh’s businesses across all the countries in which we share offices, and we are very grateful to all those that wish to support our work. Together we really can make a positive impact on the lives of so many – thank you.
Previously, ACT has partnered with mental health charities, Samaritans and Mind, who both seek to champion positive wellbeing and ensure anyone can access non-judgmental support when they need it most. In total, ACT together with colleagues across Ardonagh, raised over £320,000 for these fantastic causes.
When a child is diagnosed with cancer, life changes for the whole family. Based in Ireland, Cancer Fund for Children provides therapeutic services and family breaks, with the aim that no child has to face cancer alone.
As the spotlight cause of Arachas, part of Ardonagh Global Partners, alongside ACT and Ardonagh, our colleagues have helped contribute to the €2million raised to help build a second respite centre in County Mayo.
Following the success of his first Miles 2 Mayo walk, an epic 180-mile journey from County Down to the site of the new centre, ACT Trustee Rory Best has plans to raise further funds so even more families have the opportunity to spend quality time together.
Ardonagh Specialty select a chosen charity each year to rally behind. In 2024, they selected mental health charity CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) and have organised all sorts of fundraising activities to get behind the cause, including a marathon-distance walk along the River Thames, which raised £26,000.
Previously, Specialty have supported Magic Breakfast, which provides free and healthy breakfasts to school children of various ages across the UK, so all children can start the day right and learn better.
